Melbourne-based developer Gurner has partnered with Geelong’s Coast Property Group and Grange Development in a mixed-used apartment project for Perth. This comes as a trend of east-coast developers move west, harnessing opportunity throughout the nation’s development.
The project will comprise 275 apartments across 3 buildings, including entertainment, retail and commercial space. This will also include a health and wellness precinct on Stirling Highway.
Gurner will share a 50-50 split in the project with the two original developers, after tweaking the original rejected designs. The project is now set to be a ‘true town square and fits alongside Perth’s steadily growing development.
“It’s a market we believe has incredible potential, particularly in the next five to ten years, as it continues to mature from a mining city into an economic powerhouse,” said Tim Gurner, the group’s chief executor.
The architect for the project is Elenberg Fraser and gathers inspiration from the detached houses of the Nedlands amongst their garden settings.
