Marble’s Partnership with Ronald McDonald House: Home For Dinner Initiative

That’s why our involvement with Ronald McDonald House is a source of immense pride for us. Led by our CEO, Gary Denton, who serves on the Board for Ronald McDonald House in Randwick (Sydney), we have formed a meaningful and ongoing partnership with this incredible charity that touches the lives of countless families

One of the most impactful ways we contribute to Ronald McDonald House is through our participation in the Home For Dinner initiative. Across our offices in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Sydney, our employees come together to cook meals for families staying at the local Ronald McDonald Houses. The initiative not only provides nourishing food to these families during difficult times but also creates a heartwarming atmosphere filled with love, compassion, and support.

Several times a year, our teams step away from their desks and head to the Ronald McDonald Houses to connect with the families and children. The experience is nothing short of moving and extremely touching. Many families we meet have been at the Ronald McDonald House for extended periods, and we witness their resilience and strength in the face of challenging circumstances.

The impact of our presence is immediately apparent when we see the families’ appreciation for the meals we prepare. It’s a small gesture, but it means the world to them. The joy on the faces of the children as we bring along activities like piñatas and gifts is priceless. These moments of happiness and excitement bring a sense of relief and normalcy to the families during challenging times.

Beyond cooking meals, our employees cherish the opportunity to speak with the families and listen to their stories. We learn about their experiences, their journeys, and their strength, and in return, we offer our support, compassion, and a listening ear. Connecting with these families and witnessing their courage leaves a lasting impact on our team members.

There have been countless heartwarming moments during these visits, but one, in particular, stands out. One of our team members had a touching encounter with one of the mothers. Her two-year-old son was going through chemotherapy and had recently received another session just two days prior. Feeling the effects of the treatment, the little boy had been confined to his bed for the past two days. However, when he saw the other kids having a whack at the piñata, he found the energy to get up and have a couple of swings himself. It was a beautiful moment of joy and resilience, and it reminded us of the incredible strength children possess, even in the face of adversity.
