About the Company

Our Client is an award winning Project Home Builder in the Residential Construction space specialising in contract homes, house and land packages, knock down re-builds and dual occupancy residencies. Building over 300 - 350 + homes each year, this Builder prides themselves on their quality product, industry relationships and exceptional customer service.

About the Role

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will work closely with the sales estimators, sales consultants and drafting team across a portfolio of developments and contract homes.

Day to day duties will include:

• Provide accurate pricing for contracts and variations including appropriate margin considerations
• Obtain relevant quotes and pricing for non-standard variations
• Negotiate rates and costs with preferred and non-standard suppliers, sub-contractors and trades
• Produce accurate documentation within budgeted time lines
• Maintaining a thorough knowledge of company products and services
• Preparing accurate BOQ's
• Excellent customer service skills, working with supervisors, suppliers, trades people, contractors
• Maintaining trade and supplier relationships

What You Need

• Minimum 4-5 years in an estimating role with a NSW builder
• Carpentry Trade will be highly favourable (although not essential)
• Prior experience using Estimating software (i.e. Databuild, Buildsoft, Blue Beam or similar)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, and the ability to interpret drawings and specifications
