Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you'll enjoy working as a Workshop Diesel Fitter in a well-organised and clean workshop facility. As part of a close-knit team, you will be involved in:
- Load & Haul Rebuilds and Maintenance: Conduct half-life and quarter-life rebuilds, machinery, and component upgrades.
- Major Component Changeouts: Perform critical repairs and maintenance on Sandvik load (boggers) and haul (trucks).
- Rock Drill Assistance: Support rock drill technicians during downtime on load and haul projects.
- Skills Development: Receive training on rock drill equipment and components in the rock tools division.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, especially during manual handling and lifting tasks.
The Location:
Kalgoorlie facility, which supports customers with:
- Load & Haul Rebuilds, Repairs, and Spare Parts
- Field Service Support
- Dedicated Rock Drill Workshop: Large 2-3 bay rebuild shed, separate wash bay, and well-stocked store.

Your Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Heavy Mechanical Trade Qualification: Or equivalent experience with an LV trade.
- Hydraulic & Electrical Fault-finding Skills: A must for component changeouts.
- Workshop Experience: Working on major components in a workshop environment.
- Detail-oriented: Focus on quality with a positive attitude and eagerness to advance in your trade.
- Commitment to Safety: A top priority in all tasks.
