The Project

The site is a well established project in South Australia with a well-equipped workshop, a camp featuring modern and new facilities with a quality canteen and further inclusions planned for the future. The site currently has;

  • Modern rooms with ensuites, air conditioning and wifi
  • Good quality and consistent standard of meals
  • Pool, gym and other rec facilities
  • Clean and well maintained camp site

The Roster

Your choice of roster (night and day shift), the rotations and travel would consist of the below;

  • 12-hour shifts - night and day shift (rotates weekly)
  • Flights to and from site are often - typically in and out on Wednesdays/Thursdays

The Role

Your position as a diesel fitter will see you working in the above ground workshop and assisting in the field/underground service bays with breakdowns as required, machinery consisting of a trucks, boggers and development drills plus more.

  • Undertaking scheduled and preventative maintenance, repairs, and fitting parts
  • Attending breakdowns, fault finding and diagnostic work, and providing technical support
  • Working within safety guidelines, policies, and procedures

Your Value

The ideal tradesperson will come from a heavy, civil, road transport or agricultural background - mining experience is non-essential as great opportunity to train and learn within this environment, experienced candidates also desirable.

  • Must have a Cert 3 heavy trade qualification
  • Able to adapt to various conditions & environments in the workshop/field
  • Hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence + able to obtain a National Police Check within 6-8 months
  • Work well independently and within a team environment
