The Project

This is a brand-new long term development contract that's due to begin operation in the coming month. Working at a historic silver/lead/zinc underground mine site in southern NSW.

• Close-knit team of experienced traded and operators.
• Local hotel / motel style accommodation with meals.
• Working at a site with a 15-year mine life.

The Roster and travel

Working on a family friendly, even time roster. Rotating across day and night shift.

• 2:2 roster (7 days, 7 nights, 14 off)
• 12-hour shifts.
• Flights paid from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Adelaide.
• DIDO allowances provided from anywhere in NSW or northern VIC/SA.

The Role

Your position as an auto electrician will see you working in the above ground workshop and assisting in the field/underground service bays with breakdowns as required, machinery consisting of a trucks, boggers and development drills plus more.

• Undertaking scheduled and preventative maintenance, repairs, and fitting parts
• Attending breakdowns, fault finding and diagnostic work, and providing technical support
• Working within safety guidelines, policies, and procedures

Your Value

The ideal candidate will come from a background working within the mining industry and haver extensive knowledge of mine machinery and working in underground environments. However, if you come from a heavy, civil , or agricultural background, you could still be well suited to the role.

• Must have a Cert 3 trade qualification.
• Able to adapt to various conditions & environments in the workshop/field.
• Hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence + able to obtain a National Police Check within 6-8 months.
• Work well independently and within a team environment.
