The site and FIFO

This UG hard rock mine is located in N.QLD, in the Mt Isa region, the site offers;-

• Attractive, modern camp set up with good facilities (gym, wet mess etc)
• The camp is close to the mine, so limited travel in and out
• A high standard of food and quality canteen
• 2:2 roster where you'll fly in on company time and out on your time

The role and duties

Working in a collaborative team of skilled tradespeople and reporting in to a mechanical supervisor your prime responsibilities will include.

• Maintenance of a range fixed plant within the processing plant
• Working with mechanical and hydraulic components

Your value

You will have come working as a Mechanical Fitter in a heavy industry sector and have a desire to forward your skills and experience in the UG mining industry. Other attributes will include; -

• Mechanical Trade Certificate Qualification
• Experience in mechanical maintenance of Fixed Plant Infrastructure
• Previous experience in a mining environment (Highly regarded but not essential)
• Experience on things such as Pumps, Crushers, Conveyors, Mills, etc.
• Ability to work autonomously and in the team
• Excellent attitude towards work
• High safety standards

Roster & hours

• 7 day shifts, 7 night shifts, 14 off - 12 hour shifts
• Fly to site on the morning of day 1, fly home after night shift on shift 14
• FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville, Cairns (fly in on company time, fly home one yours)
