The Role - Environmental Superintendent:

As Environmental Superintendent, you'll ensure the mine's compliance with environmental regulations and lead initiatives to manage risks and promote continuous improvement. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring full adherence to environmental standards and legislation
• Overseeing environmental sampling, monitoring, and reporting processes
• Leading, mentoring, and developing a skilled team of environmental specialists
• Assessing and mitigating environmental risks
• Coordinating contractors for environmental monitoring
• Fostering a culture of continuous improvement

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in environmental management, engineering, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within a metalliferous mine site
• Strong understanding of Queensland's environmental legislation and compliance
• Field-based assessment, environmental monitoring, and reporting expertise
• Proven leadership and team development skills
• Strong communication, time management, and relationship-building abilities
