The Company
An great opportunity to join a long-standing team and well established company within the commercial construction & fitout space.
About the role:
- Lead and manage construction projects from initial planning through to final completion.
- Conduct comprehensive project reviews to set timelines, estimate costs, and establish deliverables.
- Coordinate and oversee the work of construction teams and subcontractors.
- Select and manage the procurement of tools, materials, and equipment, while keeping track of inventory.
- Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
- Ensure all contractual performance requirements are met.
- Monitor project progress daily and assess work quality.
- Proactively plan to avoid potential issues and address any challenges that arise.
- Negotiate agreements, draft contracts, and secure necessary permits and licenses.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
- Maintain high construction quality standards and ensure the proper application of construction techniques.
Important note:
The role will involve travelling throughout the year as many of the upcoming projects are in remote areas of QLD.
About You:
- Must have previous experience in a similar role
- Extensive knowledge of construction management process, means and methods
- In-depth knowledge of building materials, quality standards and building rules and regulations.
- Well-rounded knowledge of all stages in the construction process, from planning and design through to execution, monitoring, and project completion.
- Familiarity with Construction Management Software.
- Strong ability to think strategically, anticipating long-term goals and project needs while maintaining focus on the overall vision and success of the project.
- Skilled in addressing and resolving conflicts and crises efficiently.
- Proven leadership skills in managing teams, overseeing human resources, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Excellent time and project management skills
- BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field advantageous.
