About the Role:
A major Tier 2 civil and infrastructure contractor seeks a highly motivated and experienced Civil Supervisor. The successful candidate will oversee a diverse range of civil construction projects, including roads, car parks, intersection upgrades, and roundabout upgrades. The role demands a strong focus on delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Lead and mentor a team of skilled tradespeople, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Enforce stringent quality control measures to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
- Prioritise safety on-site, implementing and enforcing robust safety practices.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks, developing contingency plans as necessary.
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns promptly.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports on project progress, including safety performance and financial metrics.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Civil Supervisor or Foreman in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of civil construction principles, methods, and materials.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Current White Card and Construction Induction Safety Training (White Card).
- Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or construction management (preferred).
