Roster & hours

• 2:2 OR 2:1
• 7 night shifts, 7 days shifts, 14 off - 12 hour shifts
• Days - 6:30am - 6:30am / Nights - 6:30pm - 6:30am
• Thursday to Wednesday swing
• Fly in Thursday afternoon to start night shifts. Fly out on Wednesday after day shift

The role and duties

You will enjoy working in a team of specialist tradespeople working on a wide range of UG mining equipment in the workshop and the field. Your duties will include;-

• Perform maintenance and repairs on range of ground support heavy machinery
• Often diagnosing and fixing hydraulic, and electrical issues
• Respond to breakdowns and carry out emergency repairs where necessary
• Adhere to safety protocols and conduct risk assessments.
• Machinery - Sandvik Cablebolters, Normet Shotcreters, Volvo Loaders and light vehicles.

Your value

• Trade qualifications in automotive or heavy diesel (Essential)
• Ability to obtain a current National Police Clearance (Essential)
• Diesel machinery maintenance experience (heavy vehicles, civil, AG or mining)
• Previous experience on UG ground support equipment (highly regarded, not essential)
• High level of skill performing diagnostics on electrical and hydraulic systems
• Dual trade - Auto Electrical (Very highly regarded)
• Ability to work autonomously
