This site is a large underground hard rock mine located in Western Australia.

• Lengthy mine life with an exciting exploration outlook
• 3 mines on the mining lease
• 5 min. bus transfer from airport to mine site

FIFO From Perth

For those keen to secure a long-term role on an 8:6;4:3 roster variation FIFO from Perth, the site offers the following benefits;

• Travel 100% in company time (via charter)
• 5-hour direct flight to site via charter
• Thursday to Thursday roster (5am from Perth to site, back in Perth at 5:30pm the following Thursday)

The Role

Reporting to the Alternate Underground Mine Managers, The Technical Services Superintendent oversees the Production, Geotechnical, Ventilation, and Projects teams to ensure the timely delivery of mine plan objectives, manages technical projects to meet statutory requirements, supervises contractors, and drives performance improvements and business enhancements across the operation. Your duties will include (but not limited to);

• Assist the Alternate Underground Managers and Underground Manager in developing underground mines and activities to safely meet the company's strategic goals.
• Monitor daily performance of production and infrastructure projects, identifying issues that may impact schedules and budgets, and propose solutions.
• Analyse and report on mining operations to detect early issues, ensuring interventions and continuous improvement to maintain performance.
• Provide clear direction on schedules and plans to Engineers, Foremen, and Shift Supervisors, ensuring effective communication of safety controls.
• Identify business improvement opportunities, propose and implement economic solutions, and mentor engineering and technical staff through coaching, training, and appraisals.

Your Value

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in mine planning, projects/infrastructure, and production.
• WA First Class Mine Manager Certification and completed underground practical time (preferred).
• Experience with various mining methods and proven leadership of professional teams.
• Proficient in mine planning/design software, including Deswik CAD, Scheduler, and Ventsim.
