One of the leading building companies in Western Australia, is seeking a Trainee Site Supervisor to join their dynamic team. This exciting opportunity is perfect for an individual with a background in the construction industry -whether through trade, concreting, earthworks, pre-lay plumbing, scheduling, drafting, or estimating - and who is eager to develop into a skilled site supervisor.
About the Role:
As a Trainee Site Supervisor, you will be trained to manage and oversee construction sites, ensuring high standards of productivity, quality control, and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with experienced supervisors and leadership to gain hands-on experience in managing projects, recruiting and motivating tradespeople, and driving team success. The role also involves planning and allocating resources to meet monthly targets while gaining exposure to a variety of building methods and construction styles.
You'll have the opportunity to continuously improve your skills with access to ongoing training in advanced building techniques and be involved with our subsidiaries, helping maintain the standards of leadership in innovative construction practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee construction sites to ensure work is completed to high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with supervisors and leadership to recruit, manage, and motivate tradespeople.
- Plan and allocate resources to meet monthly targets and project milestones.
- Ensure all construction activities are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and ensuring satisfaction throughout the build process.
- Assist in managing daily construction site operations, including quality control and progress reporting.
- Gain exposure to diverse construction styles and methods through hands-on training and collaboration.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have a background in construction, as well as a can-do attitude, with excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience in the construction industry (trade background, scheduling, estimating, or drafting).
- A strong passion for residential construction and a proactive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
- A reliable, professional work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- A current C Class driver's license is essential.
- Trade qualifications or a Diploma of Building and Construction would be highly regarded, but not essential.
