The Mine & Location

This role is based at a well-regarded underground mine located just 20km northeast of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Offering a residential role, you will benefit from a short commute each day, returning home to your bed each night.

  • Close proximity to town for a short 20-minute commute.
  • Utilizes modified open stoping methods for high-quality gold extraction.
  • Features a 2Mtpa processing plant for effective gold recovery.
  • Offers stability with a 10+ year mine life and substantial reserves.
  • Kalgoorlie provides a supportive network, local amenities, and recreational options.

The Roster

  • No FIFO required, residential role in Kalgoorlie.
  • 9-day fortnight, 10-hour day shifts.
  • 4 days off every two weeks to rest or explore.

Duties & Responsibilities


As a Maintenance Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and operational efficiency of the processing plant. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with Maintenance and Processing teams to develop and implement detailed work plans.
  • Allocating resources, equipment, plant, and materials to ensure the safe and effective completion of work orders.
  • Adhering to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards while minimizing waste and enhancing recycling efforts.
  • Regularly reviewing maintenance and operational strategies to identify areas for improvement and optimizing planning processes.
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Bring

  • A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in the mining industry.
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Maintenance Planner in a similar mining environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and experience with Asset Management systems (Pronto Xi is preferred).
  • A current "C" Class Western Australian Driver's Licence.
  • An Engineering degree or relevant Trade Certificate (Asset Management and Front-Line Management Certification is desirable).
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work, with a passion for continuous improvement.
