The role/ duties
Reporting into the workshop/ field supervisor and working closely with experienced mechanics, you will enjoy working in a role that will see you working field service and in the workshop on UG hard rock mining equipment. You will also be involved with;-
- Field Service maintenance & breakdowns across various mine sites in Tasmania
- The need to work away and stay on camp on a regular basis
- Paid travel to and from site when wokring away
- Workshop rebuilds and major maintennace projects
- 5:2 roster - every weekend off - standard hours 8.00am - 4.30pm (you may be required to start earlier/ finish later when in the field)

About you
You will have come from a heavy vehicle or earthmoving background and have strong experience working in a workshop-based or field service environment maintaining heavy equipment operating in UG mining, open cut mining, civil, forestry or Ag.
- Mechanical qualification
- Underground hard rock mining experience (highly regarded, not essential)
- Ability to work in role that involves attending to breakdowns on machinery in the field
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrics and mechanics
- Excellent attitude towards work and safety
- Team player and can also work autonomously
