About You
- Experience in a similar role or proven experience in factory supervision is essential to hit the ground running
- Desire to be an integral part of our family feel team
- Experienced in the smooth running of a busy factory environment
- Experience working on retail projects is extremely desirable (hotels, offices, restaurants, gaming centres, casinos etc)
- Possess technical expertise in joinery manufacturing processes and effective leadership skills
- Excellent time management, multi-tasking and prioritising skills
- Looking for a full-time, long-term role with a career path to progression within an established business
- Trade Qualified in Joinery or Cabinet Making
- The ability to bring a positive and motivating attitude to the factory
- Experienced in implementing systems and processes that ensure work is delivered to the required quality standard
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full working rights in Australia
Duties:
- Collaborate with the Production Team to streamline workflows, implement process improvements and increase overall productivity
- Provide effective guidance daily to all direct reports
- Responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day manufacturing operations of a joinery factory
- Oversee stock levels to ensure adequate supplies are available, preventing shortages or overstocking
- Monitor and optimise production processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols and efficient resource utilisation
- Responsible for ordering and coordinating the timely delivery of materials required for each project
- Supervise employees in the workshop, ensuring quality standards are met, assign tasks and maintain a productive work environment
- Handle resource management and collaborate with other departments. The Foreperson will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running and efficient functioning of the factory
- Lead a skilled workforce, with a focus on continuous development and improvement of their safety culture
- Ensure performance levels are consistently maintained
- Ensure company policies and procedures are continuously adhered to
- Oversee factory planning, covering all stages from inception to completion
- Track production progress and promptly communicate with internal staff and stakeholders, maintaining effective relationship management
- Maintain timely production schedules and communicate issues or delays as soon as they arise
