Job Title: Civil Supervisor

Location: Melbourne, VIC (West)

Our client is a leading national Tier 2 civil construction contractor with a strong presence across Australia. They are renowned for their expertise in delivering high-quality civil construction projects across various sectors, including road and infrastructure, and general civil construction.

About the Role:

I am seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Supervisor to join their team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of major civil construction projects in the inner west of Melbourne and the Southwest of Melbourne.

Initial Project:

You will initially be responsible for supervising all aspects of civil construction works on a significant road and infrastructure project in the inner west of Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of skilled tradespeople, including labourers, operators, and carpenters.
• Ensure the safe and efficient execution of all civil construction works, including earthworks, concrete works, drainage, and pavement construction.
• Monitor project progress against schedule and budget.
• Identify and resolve any potential site issues or delays.
• Maintain high standards of quality and safety on site.
• Liaise with site engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Implement and maintain safe work practices and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations.
• Prepare daily site reports and maintain accurate records.

Transition to MRPV Project:

After approximately 6 months, you will transition to a newly acquired Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV) project. This will provide you with the opportunity to work on a high-profile and challenging project with a strong emphasis on safety and innovation.

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Civil Supervisor on major civil construction projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent knowledge of construction safety and quality control procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Experience in managing subcontractors and plant equipment.
• Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
• Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or construction management (desirable).
