Founded over six decades ago, my client has grown from a small homebuilder to a leading force in the construction and property development sectors. They now operate across three key divisions: large-scale medium-density construction, property development focused on multi-residential and mixed-use communities, and a housing division offering custom residences, affordable townhomes, and tailored house-and-land packages for investors.
Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):
⭐Lead supplier and subcontractor negotiations, including pricing, agreements, and defining construction methodology and scope of works.
⭐Manage standard inclusion lists and standard upgrades for colours and product selections in collaboration with Sales/Admin teams.
⭐Develop and maintain supplier and subcontractor profiles, including capacities, capabilities, and allocation for efficient project planning.
⭐Establish and implement corporate procurement strategies, including supplier agreements, terms, and conditions.
⭐Manage the library of Bills of Quantity (BOQ) for each design ensuring they are up to date and accurate.
⭐Manage the scopes of work for each trade and supplier and ensure they are constantly updated.
The ideal candidate looks like...
✅Extensive experience in procurement and estimation within the residential construction industry is essential, working for a home builder directly.
✅Demonstrated ability to negotiate and establish favourable supplier and subcontractor agreements.
✅Strong knowledge of construction materials, pricing, and market trendsS. Proven track record in cost management, budgeting, and delivering projects within set financial targets.
✅Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to analyse data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and make informed decisions.
✅Excellent understanding of procurement strategies, contract management, and compliance with relevant regulations.
✅Strong leadership and team management skills to effectively lead and mentor a team of estimators and procurement professionals.
✅Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and
subcontractors.
