Fitout Project Manager – Office Projects up to $8M

Opportunity: My client is a Melbourne-based, national construction business with experience in complex and exciting commercial new builds and fit-out & refurbishment projects (up to $10m). They are seeking a new Project Manager to come on board and head up their Office Fitout team. The ideal candidate will come with a great attitude, and experience handling some large scale projects. This opportunity offers a chance to develop your leadership skills while building and guiding a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and prepare project scopes & award sub-contract packages.
• Assess subcontractor variations & progress payments.
• Prepare monthly cost reports for directors.
• Assist with project coordination of subcontractors.
• Manage all project stakeholders.
• Ensure project profitability through financial control & budget management

Qualifications:

• Relevant tertiary degree in construction or a related field
• Trade background highly desired
• Strong commercial mindset with experience on commercial projects exceeding $5M
• Proven track record as a Project Manager in the commercial construction sector
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Go-getter attitude with a hardworking mentality
• Unlimited Australian working rights
• Local experience in Australia an absolute nessecity
