Estimator - Glazing

About the Company:

I am currently recruiting for a full time Estimator in Townsville.

The role is within a well-established company involved in the fabrication and installation of residential and commercial glass and aluminium glazing. The company offers a collaborative work environment with plenty of opportunities for professional growth and development.

This is an ideal role for someone who has a foundation in estimating, is ready to advance to a more senior position, and is willing to relocate for the right opportunity. Training and support will be provided to allow you to develop your skills and gain valuable experience within the industry.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret plans and specifications
• Review shop drawings and installation detail drawings prepared by draftsmen
• Work with suppliers, contractors, and internal project supervisors to establish the best offering
• Ensure projects are completed within required specifications, regulations, and contract provisions
• Provide timely and accurate pricing of variations and adjustments during projects
• Follow up on submitted tenders and quotations
• Provide technical support to customers, fabrication teams, and project supervisors when required

About You:

• Experience in a similar role within the glass and aluminium industry
• Strong understanding of building plans, acoustic reports, and energy reports
• Technical knowledge of building codes and relevant Australian standards pertaining to windows, doors, and facades
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• LogiKal or V6 software knowledge is essential

Salary will be negotiated dependant on experience.
