The Mine & Roster

Located in Western Tasmania, the mine offers a convenient 18-minute commute from camp to site, paired with a favourable 8:6 Wednesday-to-Wednesday roster. Benefit from a DIDO arrangement or residential arrangement offering you the comfort of returning to your own bed each day.

Camp

Be a part of a highly enjoyable camp featuring:

• 18-minute drive from the mine site in a southwest direction
• A well-equipped canteen that supplies 3 meals per day
• Option to bring alcohol to the camp with you
• Permanent employees are given $145 per annum to go towards a gym membership (which is around 50% of an annual subscription)

The Role

Under the guidance of the Senior Mining Engineer, you will collaborate with a highly cohesive team to achieve well-defined objectives. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Develop and implement production plans aligned with operational targets.
• Optimize ore extraction, stope design, and recovery while mitigating risks.
• Oversee drill and blast plans, service installations, and Stope Extraction Plans to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Analyse mine performance and address variances using the Time Usage Model (TUM).
• Collaborate with teams to deliver accurate MOPs, LOMPs, and schedules.
• Provide technical guidance for new or modified areas and promote a strong safety culture

Your Skills and Experience

You will showcase your expertise through the following skills and experiences:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 5+ years' experience within a similar mine
• Competent user of Deswik and Ventsim
• Able to work autonomously and cohesively within a high performing professional team environment
