About the Role:

My client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shopfitting Construction Manager to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of shopfitting construction projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with clients, architects, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

• Project Planning & Management:
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets.
  • Procure materials and subcontractors.
  • Manage project logistics, including site access, deliveries, and waste disposal.
  • Monitor project progress and identify and resolve any potential issues.
• Site Supervision:
  • Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks.
  • Manage and motivate site teams.
  • Resolve site-related issues promptly and effectively.
• Client Communication:
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed of project progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Contract Administration:
  • Manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are met.
  • Handle change orders and variations effectively.
• Health & Safety:
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all site personnel.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement necessary safety measures.
  • Maintain accurate safety records.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Shopfitting Construction Manager or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of shopfitting construction methods and materials (trade qualification highly desired)
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines.
• Experience with building codes and regulations.
• A strong commitment to safety.

Local experience in the Australian Construction Sector required.
