We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join a leading HVAC company with over 40 years of experience in providing high-quality mechanical services and air conditioning solutions. Specialising in HVAC systems, VRF and DX systems, refrigeration mechanics, and associated water systems like boilers, heat pumps, chillers, and refrigeration reverse cycle chillers, our client is well-established as a trusted provider across commercial sectors.

As part of a growing team, you will play an integral role in supporting the company's expansion plans. With a proven track record of delivering top-tier HVAC solutions, the company is on track for significant growth next year and is looking to recruit more senior management and technical roles to support this exciting phase.

Role Overview:

In your role as Senior Mechanical Estimator, you will provide precise and detailed HVAC cost estimates for a variety of projects. Working in close collaboration with the engineering department, project managers, and clients, you will ensure that material, labour, and equipment costs are accurately scoped and aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cost Estimation: Deliver accurate HVAC cost estimates for projects across commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, estimators, and project managers to thoroughly understand project scopes.
• Site Visits & Reviews: Review project plans and specifications, with site visits as required.
• HVAC Expertise: Apply your in-depth knowledge of HVAC systems to prepare detailed cost estimates for a wide range of projects.
• Compliance: Keep up to date with building codes and energy efficiency standards to ensure project compliance.
• Safety: Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures.

Skills and Qualifications - Essential:

• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in HVAC estimating, with a strong track record in the industry.
• HVAC Knowledge: At least 5 years of experience in HVAC estimating, with a strong track record in the industry.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tender documents; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Mathematics: Strong numerical and cost calculation skills.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Licensing: A valid driver's license.
