The Workshop Role

Reporting to the Rebuild Supervisor and working closely with highly skilled mechanics, you'll take on technically challenging projects that will shape your expertise on underground mining loaders and trucks. Enjoy a friendly workshop culture that extends beyond working hours.

• Conduct quarter-life and midlife rebuilds, including:
• Major component change-outs
• Machinery and component upgrades
• Commissioning & testing

FIFO & Relocation Opportunities

Situated in the heart of Mount Isa, this role offers both FIFO and residential options. With an influx of new machinery arriving, there is a high demand for skilled professionals in the workshop. Key details include:

• Flexible rosters - choose between 8:6, 2:2, or 5:2 (12-hour shifts)
• FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane, with potential for interstate travel (QLD flights covered)
• Fly into Mount Isa on your time and home on company time
• Company-provided ute for personal use during your swing
• A fantastic opportunity to relocate, with access to local amenities, schools, and a welcoming mining community

Progression: Field Service or Mine Site Crew

After six months in the workshop, you may have the opportunity to transition into Field Service or Mine Site Crew roles, where you'll:

• Work across various underground mine sites in the region
• Gain hands-on experience with drills, loaders, and haul fleets
• Get exposure to site-based workshops and breakdowns in the field

What We're Looking For

We're seeking mechanical tradespeople with a background in mining or earthmoving, who are eager to develop their skills in underground mining.

• Mechanical trade qualification (essential)
• Strong safety mindset and great attitude toward work
• Experience in machine rebuilds (or a strong desire to upskill)
• A keen interest in working directly for an OEM
