About the Opportunity
Are you a seasoned professional with experience in planning and scheduling within heavy industry? We are seeking a Specialist Planner to coordinate equipment workflows, manage resources, and drive operational efficiency in a fast-paced workshop environment.

This position focuses on creating detailed work schedules to support the delivery of major equipment projects, rebuilds, and preventative maintenance, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service standards.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and manage comprehensive schedules for equipment overhauls, maintenance, and rebuilds.
  • Coordinate resources, materials, and timelines to meet project deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the workshop team to optimize labour allocation and productivity.
  • Conduct post-project reviews, identify areas for improvement, and update plans accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Address inventory planning, parts requirements, and other sourcing needs to minimize disruptions.

What You Bring to the Role

  • Must-Have:

    • At least 5 years of experience in planning or scheduling within a workshop, maintenance, or similar heavy industry setting.
    • Strong understanding of resource allocation and equipment maintenance.
    • A trade qualification or relevant tertiary education in a maintenance-related discipline.
    • Proven ability to work under pressure and deliver results within deadlines.
  • Preferred:

    • Knowledge of mining equipment or heavy industrial machinery.
    • Experience with inventory management and workflow optimization.
