Junior Estimator

Production Estimator, completing end to end estimates on high-end, residential homes alongside the Senior Estimator.

• Read housing plans, calculate quantities, understanding of Excel

The Role:

This builder upholds a small, tight knit team and so this role will report to the Director.

You will however work closely alongside the Senior Estimator who began with the company as a graduate. He is a young leader of the company, and creates great support within the team.

The new role will involve:

As a Junior

• You will start by working on 1 take off per week while you are learning
• Over time, this will build up to multiple

As an experienced estimator, you would be working in a multi-facted role across complex projects

• Resolving ordering oversights and making amendments as required
• Maintaining a thorough knowledge of company products and services
• Excellent customer service skills, supervisors, suppliers, trades people, agents and contractors are maintained and improved.

What you need:

You will ideally have the following criteria:

• Excellent communication skills, written & verbal
• Evidence of proactive qualities and ability to work autonomously
• Long term career aspirations, this will be a 2 year commitment before progressing
• Construction knowledge and or a trade background
• Certificate IV in Building and Construction or a degree in building estimation
• Competency with Microsoft Office and experience working with Excel
