The Mine & Roster

The company's underground gold mining operation is located in the northern Yandal greenstone belt and has been open since 1995. As one of the largest gold operations in the region, this is an incredible opportunity to be a part of a slick and robust underground mining operation.

The Role

The Tech Services Superintendent reports to the Alt Underground Manager and will be primarily responsible for:

• Supporting Underground Managers in developing and executing underground mining operations to meet strategic goals.
• Monitoring performance, identify trends or issues, and propose solutions to meet schedule and budget requirements.
• Analyse operational performance, implement interventions, and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide clear direction and safety controls to Engineers, Foremen, and Shift Supervisors.
• Propose economic business improvements.
• Supervise and mentor engineering and technical staff, supporting their development through training and appraisals.

Your Skills and Experience

You are required to possess and demonstrate the following:

Experience:

• At least 7 years of experience in the mining industry, including mine planning, projects/infrastructure, and production.
• Proven expertise in various mining methods, with a track record of leading high-performing teams.
• Proficient in mine planning and design software, particularly Deswik CAD, Scheduler, or similar tools, as well as Ventsim.

Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
• WA First Class Mine Manager Certification and underground practical time (preferred).
