My client a leading provider of high-quality residental joinery solutions, servicing apartment projects across Melbourne. They are experiencing significant growth and are seeking a talented Joinery Estimator to join their dynamic team.

About the Role:

As a Joinery Estimator, you will be responsible for providing accurate and comprehensive estimates for a wide range of joinery projects. This role demands a high level of expertise in full takeoff joinery estimating, ensuring that all materials, labour, and associated costs are precisely calculated.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive full takeoffs from architectural drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Accurately calculate material quantities, labour hours, and associated costs for joinery projects.
• Prepare detailed and competitive estimates for clients, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials and components.
• Analyse project specifications and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of all estimates and pricing data.
• Collaborate with project managers and production teams to ensure smooth project handover.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and pricing.
• Provide value engineering suggestions to clients and the internal team.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Joinery Estimator, with a strong emphasis on full, detailed takeoffs.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
• Excellent knowledge of joinery materials, manufacturing processes, and installation techniques.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Trade qualified desired but not essential
