Salary: $70-$80 per hour (Leading Hands: $80 per hour) + Super + Benefits

About the Role:
We are seeking experienced Underground Diesel Fitters to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of underground mobile mining equipment to ensure peak performance and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain underground diesel equipment, including loaders, trucks, drills, and ancillary machinery.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs in a safe and efficient manner.
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to reduce equipment failures.
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance and operational teams to ensure production targets are met.
• Maintain accurate service records and adhere to site safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Relevant trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter/Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
• Underground mining or UG OEM background for breakdown fitters.
• Workshop fitters can come from open-cut mining, agriculture, or heavy road transport backgrounds.
• Experience working with underground mining equipment (e.g., Caterpillar, Sandvik, Epiroc).
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an underground environment.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with mine site regulations.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening
