The mine site, roster and facilities

Currently going through its latest phase of growth and development the mine site offers;-

• 3 modern gyms (weights, cardio and classes)
• A swimming pool
• Music room and a quiet reading room
• Modern wet mess & a high quality canteen
• Modern rooms with air conditioning and wifi
• Good phone reception (telstra) on site and at camp

Enjoy a 2/2 roster (a week of days 8:6 / week of nights 7:7), the travel would consist of the below;

• Fly into site at 8am Tuesdays from Adelaide (Port Augusta optional) - 12-hour shifts
• Arrive back in Adelaide around 11am Tuesday for R&R
• Interstate arrive the night prior to Adelaide with accom provided and fly the next morning to site
• Departing site at conclusion of your swing in the morning and fly out of Adelaide mid-morning/midday

The duties and team

NOTE - underground service crew experience is essential.

You will enjoy working in a large, but close knit team. Reporting to the service crew foreman your duties will include;-

• Running poly services & installing tension of cable bolts
• Assisting with the construction of ventilation walls
• Installing a variety of underground services from pump lines to electrical cables
• Using a range of tools safely to carry out specific tasks within the team
• Supporting and assisting the team with new personnel

Your skills and experience

Your 1-2+ years recent experience working as a service crew person or similar will put you in a great position. Other key skills/ licenses needed;-

• Underground hard rock mining service crew experience (essential)
• High quality of workmanship & a good work ethic
• Excellent safety standards
• Team player and have the ability to work autonomously
• Looking for long term permanent work on a FIFO 2:2 roster
