Cabinet Maker/Joiner/Wood Machinist

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Joiner / Wood Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will operate various woodworking machinery, including CNC routers, edge banders, and panel saws, while also assisting in the fabrication of high-quality cabinets and joinery for new build homes and renovations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program and operate panel nesting CNC router, including auto loading/unloading functions

• Operate edge bander to ensure smooth, precise edging on cabinet panels

• Use panel saws to accurately cut sheets of timber and wood products to specified dimensions

• Receive, store, and manage sheet material (timber and other wood products)

• Maintain stock levels to ensure materials are available when needed

• Assist in the fabrication of cabinets for new build homes and renovation projects, adhering to detailed specifications and quality standards

• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot machinery, including CNC routers, edge banders, and panel saws

• Collaborate with the team to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards

Candidate Requirements:

• Right to work in Australia

• Valid WorkSafe HRWL Forklift Licence (Preferable)

• Qualification in Cabinetmaking or Carpentry or a similar trade related to wood machining

• Construction Industry White Card

• Experience in cabinet manifactoring for new builds and renovations is highly preferred

• Proven experience in setting up, programming, and operating CNC routers, edge banders, and panel saws

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship

• Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a team-based environment
