The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the joinery sector, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
The role:
Market Research & Strategy: Conduct thorough research to identify new business opportunities and emerging trends in the commercial joinery space. Analyze competitors and market conditions to create actionable strategies for growth.
Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, architects, contractors, and industry partners. Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing timely updates and addressing inquiries.
Sales Strategy & Execution: Design and execute an effective business development strategy aimed at increasing sales and market share. Prepare and present compelling proposals, bids, and presentations to potential clients.
Collaboration with Internal Teams: Collaborate closely with the design, production, and project management teams to ensure seamless project delivery that meets client expectations. Partner with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.
Networking & Brand Representation: Attend industry events and networking opportunities to promote the company and build new business connections. Represent the company in high-level negotiations and contract discussions.
Reporting & Performance Tracking: Track and report on sales performance, market trends, and client feedback to senior leadership. Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of business development activities.
What we are looking for:
- 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the joinery or construction industries
- Solid knowledge of commercial joinery products and services
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proven success in building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- A strategic thinker with a focus on results and business growth.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
- Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Passionate about the joinery industry and committed to delivering top-notch service.
