The workshop role

Reporting to the rebuild supervisor and working closely with experienced mechanics, you will enjoy working on technically challenging projects which will grow and shape your skills on UG mining loaders and trucks. Furthermore, appreciate working in a fun and friendly workshop environment with a culture that extends past working hours.

• Quarter and midlife rebuilds including;-
• Major component change outs
• Machinery/ component upgrades
• Commissioning & testing

FIFO/ The Opportunity

Working in the heart of Mount Isa, you'll have the opportunity to either FIFO or work residentially. With plenty of new machinery being delivered soon, there is an increased demand for skills in the workshop. Some fundamentals on the role include:

• Your choice of an 8:6 or 5:2 roster (Local), 12 hours shifts
• Fly into Isa in your time and home in company time
• FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane, Opportunity to fly from interstate (flights in QLD covered)
• Have access to a ute whilst on swing to use at your own discretion outside of work hours.

Field Service OR Mine Site Crew roles

After upskilling and completing rebuilds in the workshop for the first 6 months there may be the potential to move into a field service or mine site crew-based role. During which time you will be involved with;-

• Working at various mine site for the OEM in the region
• Further developing your skills on drills along with the load and haul fleet
• Gain exposure to site workshops and breakdowns in the field

Your value

You will have come from a mining or earthmoving background and have strong experience working in a workshop-based environment maintaining machinery. You will also have;

• A Mechanical trade qualification
• An Excellent attitude towards work and safety
• Looking to further your skills and develop your experience in UG mining
• Wanting to gain a unique experience of working directly for an OEM
• Have experience on machine rebuilds or a desire to upskill in this area (Desirable)
