We are seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Assessor to join our client based in North West Sydney. Our client is a leading Project Home Builder, building around 500 homes across New South Wales which covers Newcastle, Sydney Metro and the South Coast / Wollongong region.

The Role

In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring the quality and integrity of new homes by assessing and coordinating the rectification of defects during the 90-day warranty period.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in maintenance construction or a trade-qualified carpenter looking to take the next step in a client-facing and quality-focused role.

What You'll Do:

• Assessments of newly completed homes during the 90-day warranty period
• Identify, document, and report defects in line with NSW building standards and tolerances
• Differentiate between builder responsibilities, owner maintenance, and general wear and tear
• Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners, site supervisors, and subcontractors
• Log all defects accurately using defect management software or CRM systems
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, correspondence, and completed works
• Ensure compliance with the NSW Home Building Act and contractual obligation

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in maintenance construction, post-construction inspections, or residential handovers
• Trade background preferred - Carpentry highly desirable
• Strong understanding of construction standards and building tolerances
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive, solutions-focused attitude and strong work ethic
• Professional presentation and customer-first mindset
