A $370 million contract has been awarded to a local construction company to build Sydney Metro’s new Crows Nest Station.
NSW-based AW Edwards will deliver the station, with works involving two entrances, footpaths, lighting, retail space, enhancements to pedestrian and cyclist safety around the site and enabling works for future over station advancements.
Crows Nest Station will be the first stop for metro services leaving Chatswood toward the CBD when the Sydney Metro is expanded from the North West in 2024.
The project is projected to support hundreds of jobs with 300 projected to be on site during peak construction stages.
Construction of the station will begin in January 2021 and is due to be finalized in 2023.
