Building has begun on $80 million children’s health and education centre on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
The centre is the first of its kind in Australia, the centre will hold an early learning centre along with allied paediatric health and research facilities. It will house 5 storeys of lettable office space as well as a childcare centre for up to 400 children.
The project is estimated to create 180 construction jobs throughout the building and development and is expected to be completed in 2022.
The centre, which is part of the Proxima development, is the first commercial development to commence construction in Lumina. The Proxima development is a 9.5 hectare development dedicated to growing the life sciences, health and tech related business within the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct.
