KDL Property Group has received approval to proceed with the initial eight stages of their ambitious Regent Quarter project, a greenfield development located in the Moreton Bay region of south-east Queensland. The $158-million development, situated in Joyner approximately 30km north of Brisbane CBD, will feature a total of 327 lots. The first phase of the project will encompass 209 lots, marking a significant milestone for KDL Property Group.
In addition to the Regent Quarter project, the developer has recently launched the first stage of ‘Avaline.’ This $106 million mixed-use residential community, approved last year, is comprised of 188 lots, a medical precinct, and a childcare centre. Avaline is located in Burpengary East on Brisbane’s bayside. The recent progress made by KDL Property Group reflects their commitment to addressing the shortage of housing and new residential developments in the area.
According to Kent Leicester, the Managing Director of KDL Property Group, the Joyner project has been in the works for the past two years. Leicester expressed his enthusiasm for the company’s involvement in these two projects on Brisbane’s northside, particularly as it is KDL Property Group’s first residential estate in Joyner. He emphasized that the location offers both convenience and tranquillity, situated in a prime growth corridor. The development includes 5.75 hectares of open space and a preserved koala habitat area with linkages to ensure safe koala movement.
Leicester further stated, “We’re proud to be a part of the Joyner community and are dedicated to delivering a high-quality residential estate that caters to the needs of our future residents.” Civil construction at Regent Quarter is scheduled to commence later this year, with regular progress updates shared with the public. The development will encompass a commercial hub, a childcare centre, and an adjoining swim school. Lot sizes within Regent Quarter will range from 352 square meters to 681 square meters, blending harmoniously with the natural surroundings.
The proximity of the estate to excellent schools, shopping centres, and Lake Samsonvale makes it an ideal choice for families. KDL Property Group now boasts three residential estates on Brisbane’s northside, including the successful $25-million Dakota estate in Burpengary East, where construction of homes on the majority of the 70 blocks has been completed.
Earlier this year, the Caboolture West Interim Structure Plan received approval, outlining the development blueprint for one of Queensland’s largest greenfield growth areas. This approval facilitates the expedited assessment and approval process for 13,000 homes. The plan paves the way for the creation of a new suburb, comparable in size to Rockhampton, the fourth-largest city in Queensland. Spanning a total area of 3,480 hectares approximately 50km north of Brisbane, the Caboolture West project is projected to accommodate around 30,000 new homes and a community of at least 70,000 people over the next four decades.
