In the ever-expanding landscape of the construction industry, there’s exciting news on the horizon for the Burpengary region, just north of Brisbane. Cedar Woods Properties’ ambitious Sage Burpengary greenfield development is about to spring to life with the construction of the first of more than 300 homes. With site sales exceeding $33 million, this project is set to redefine the region’s housing landscape.
Builders are gearing up for the commencement of construction in the first stage of the Sage Burpengary development. Already, 49 sites have been settled, and civil works have been successfully completed. These sites, each averaging $350,000 in value, are now ready to be transformed into the homes of tomorrow. The excitement doesn’t end there; stage two of the subdivision has also experienced overwhelming success, with all 54 blocks selling out, and settlements expected to occur in March. And for those looking to be part of this visionary community, stage three has officially been launched, with the first settlements anticipated in May.
Sage Burpengary is more than just a housing development; it’s a masterplanned community situated on a sprawling 29-hectare parcel at Hunt Road, Burpengary, just 39 kilometers from the Brisbane CBD. When completed, it will boast a total of 329 residential lots, making it a significant addition to the region’s real estate landscape. But it’s not just about housing; Sage Burpengary is designed with the community’s well-being in mind. An 8000-square-meter park will provide residents with a green oasis to relax and unwind. Additionally, a vast 7-hectare green spine will weave through the community, adding to the project’s allure.
The Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor, Peter Flannery, has highlighted the significance of this development in addressing the area’s housing needs. “With more and more people attracted to our unique combination of affordable living, enviable lifestyle, employment opportunities, education, and transport choices, the City of Moreton Bay is thriving with 240 new residents moving to our region every week,” he said. Cedar Woods Queensland Development Director, Blair Britton, emphasised the strong response from buyers in the first two stages of Sage. Construction of the first homes is expected to commence in February, reflecting the growing demand for housing in the Burpengary region. Britton added, “We know from Urbis research that both population and house price increases in the Burpengary region are outpacing those of Greater Brisbane. That’s because of the employment and lifestyle opportunities available, as well as the strong demand for relatively affordable housing, which we’re seeing with stage one and two of Sage both selling out.”
As part of the Sage Burpengary project, Cedar Woods is investing $11 million into external works aimed at enhancing community infrastructure. This commitment reflects Cedar Woods’ dedication to creating a thriving, well-rounded community that will benefit all its residents. In conclusion, Sage Burpengary is poised to transform the Burpengary region with its visionary approach to housing and community development. As the construction of the first homes commences, the promise of affordable living, an enviable lifestyle, and ample opportunities awaits those who choose to be part of this exciting journey. Stay tuned for more updates on this groundbreaking project that is set to inspire careers and elevate the region’s construction industry.
