Sydney’s inner west is set to soar with the approval of P&N Sleiman Group’s ambitious Victoria Place project in Burwood. This transformative development will not only redefine the local skyline but also bring a much-needed boost in housing options, including affordable living, in this rapidly evolving suburb.

Originally approved in 2020 for a single 30-storey tower with 179 apartments, the updated plans have expanded into a trio of towers, the tallest of which will now reach an impressive 40 storeys. Located at 28-34 Victoria Street and 17 and 21 George Street, this project reflects the Sleiman Group’s vision for modern, accessible urban living in a prime location.

The centrepiece of Victoria Place, Building A, will rise an additional 10 storeys, offering 252 apartments and setting a new benchmark for residential luxury in Burwood. Complementing this is Building C, a 33-level tower at 17 George Street featuring 53 units. Meanwhile, Building B at 21 George Street is a standout addition, combining retail, commercial spaces, and much-needed affordable housing in a new 26-storey shoptop tower. Of the 84 units in Building B, 75 will be affordable apartments, with nine serviced apartments adding a touch of versatility to the development.

Victoria Place is designed by Urban Link Architects, whose innovative approach blends the development seamlessly with Burwood’s growing urban character. Strategically positioned just 200 meters from Burwood train station and 750 meters from the future Burwood North Metro Station, the project ensures residents will have unparalleled access to transport. Adding to its appeal, the site is located opposite Burwood’s bustling Westfield shopping centre, making it a prime hub for connectivity and convenience.

The NSW Department of Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure praised the development, noting its alignment with state priorities to deliver well-located, affordable housing in accessible areas. Victoria Place’s mix of residential, commercial, and retail spaces strikes the perfect balance, contributing to Burwood’s vibrant future while maintaining compatibility with the area’s character.

Burwood’s transformation is part of a larger wave of development sweeping through Sydney’s suburbs. While historically quieter than its neighbors, Burwood’s proximity to the CBD and upcoming transport upgrades have attracted significant investment. Alongside Victoria Place, projects like Holdmark’s $600-million Burwood Place and the $209-million Burwood RSL redevelopment are solidifying the suburb’s status as a dynamic urban centre.

With construction poised to bring this ambitious vision to life, Victoria Place promises to enhance Burwood’s community, offering housing diversity and accessibility while boosting the local economy. This project isn’t just a set of towers—it’s a new chapter for Burwood, ushering in a future of connectivity, convenience, and community.

For Burwood, the sky is quite literally the limit, and P&N Sleiman Group is leading the way.
